Star Wars Celebration brings new hope for the original trilogy and more

Got some big Star Wars news on this post, for both film and tv.

Let's start with what "Star Wars Celebration" is. "Star Wars Celebration" is like an official Star Wars Con. It's the San Diego Comic-Con of Star Wars.

So the 6th Star Wars Celebration was last weekend, and a few things were announced at it.

  • The smaller news: Some of you may know this,  but apparently there's gonna be a live-action Star Wars TV Show! It's set to take place in between episodes 3 and 4. That ought to be interesting. It could fail, but then again, it could go very well. The fact that it's not animated is what really gotten me interested in this show. Let's hope it makes it to TV.

  • The bigger news: Remember the 3D re-release of Star Wars Episode I back in February? Well, it did o.k at the box office. (for those of you that want a more details on what "o.k" is, the re-release made $43,456,382 domestically.) Apparently, o.k is good enough for a green light to make Episodes 2 and 3 in 3D. That's not the big news. The big news is that both episodes 2 and 3 will be re-released in the same year. Both of the 3D films will be released it 2013! Why is this exciting? Having 2 films in one year means we only have to wait 2 years for the original Star Wars film (episode 4) instead of 3! Yesh, yesh, Luke will soon become the new hope...

Spongebob Squarepants Movie...2?!

All of you probably know Paramount Studios. The movie studio with the stars and the mountain. So, those guys recently (and by recently I mean in like January) got an animation division, Paramount Animation.
Well, they quickly got to seeing what project would start "Paramount Animation". And that first project was announced. It's a movie based on a special little sponge that lives in a pineapple under the sea...SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!
Yessiree, our spongey friend is coming back to cinemas!
"The Spongebob Squarepants Movie" is getting a sequel! BUT don't get too excited yet. The movie is set to be released by the end of 2014. That's 2 years away. So, we gotta wait a bit before we see Bikini Bottom on the big screen once more.
This movie could go two ways: it could go well, or it could be a firey trainwreck of a movie that's just an insult to Spongebob.
But it could go well!

A little side note I'm gonna add here, Paramount also asked for another property; The Legend of Korra!!! A Korra movie? Yep that might also happen. (it's just a rumor, nothing is official yet.)

A scene I would add to The Dark Knight Rises

So, I just saw The Dark Knight Rises. It was pretty awesome. (Review later this week). After seeing it, my friend told me it would be pretty cool to have a particular character appear in the movie. So I came up with a scene for it. This character will be revealed at the end of the article. This scene involves the joker, even though Heath Ledger has passed away (may he rest in peace).

   Location- Bane's Courtroom.

Joker walks in, gun in hand, and fires at the roof. Everyone turns around and looks at him. There is a woman next to him.
Joker- Alright! Where's this Bane person?
No one responds.
Joker- Well? Where is he?
Bane appears from the shadows.
Bane- Hello Joker. I've heard of you.
Joker- Yeah, yeah, I'm famous. *sighs* So? Gotham is your kingdom now?
Bane- Gotham now belongs to the people.
Joker looks around.
Joker- Yeah, okay, I'll take over it later. Come on, girl.
Joker starts walking away. The woman follows.
Bane- Say, who's your friend?
Joker doesn't reply. The woman looks over her shoulder at bane.
Woman- I'm Harely.
Joker- Quiet, Quinn.
They leave.

  Scene.

As most of you may have guessed, the character is Harley Quinn, the Jokers crazy girlfriend.

What did Marvel say about Guardians of the Galaxy?

Some of the Guardians.
I'M BACK! Yes, I've been off the blog for a bit, but now I have returned! And with some surprising news. Film news, to be specific. Marvel film news, to be more specific.
So, a few weeks back rumors started floating around that Guardians of the Galaxy would be Marve's mystery 2014 film. I didn't think this would be true. I mean, the Guardians are from the future! How would that fit into Avengers 2? Well, at comic-con today, Marvel made a formal announcement whether not this is true. So, is Guardians of the Galaxy the 2014 mystery film?

This should answer that question:

very nice 'n shiny.

Yup, Guardians of the Galaxy is Marvel's 2014 mystery film! Not such a mystery anymore though.
The question still remains though: How does this film fit into Avengers 2? I guess that'll take a while to find out. (Maybe Thanos is in it?)

Here's a photo of what the team would look like. But keep in mind that since they're Guardians of an entire galaxy, they are different alien species. And also from the future. So be prepared for some weird stuff.

I made it super large!
Weird, right? I mean, one of them looks like a raccoon with a space gun! That be some wazzed up wazz!

Well, until next post, reader!

Back to the Future...soon in Lego!

"Udder :3" won the last poll of "What should rovio make?"

Lego has this website. No, not Lego.com, another website. This website being Lego Cuusoo. In this website you can upload your own lego design and, if it gets 10,000 supporters, it could be made a real lego set. It take’s longer than just getting 10,000 supporters; there’s a long process afterwards although I’m not sure exactly what it is. One of the lego sets that were made real by Cuusoo was the Lego Minecraft set. Now another set is close to reality; this one much more interesting than Lego Minecraft. Ready? Ready for the big reveal you already read in the title?
*Drumroll*
Lego Back To The Future! *applause applause*
Yes, it's true, a lego set of the famous 80's movie series could be in stores someday. Maybe even this year. The project already got 10,000 supporters. Now whats left is the review process thingy. The review process is starting this June, so it's in process already! The process takes a few weeks, so we may have the go/no go as soon as July! Woo!
Here's a picture of the DeLorean set for BTTF 1.
Great Scott!
See the rest of the DeLoreans (from Bttf 2 and 3) here: http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/96 . Just keep scrolling and you'll see it.
As soon as I know whether it was accepted or not, I'll post it here on this blog. Until next week, reader!

What up's with the Angry Birds' Eggs?

"Lol Hulk beat up Loki" won the last poll "What did you think of The Avengers?"

Today I noticed something: What exactly is the deal with the Angry Bird eggs?

The pigs have feet?

I mean, Angry Birds was released 3 years ago. If those eggs still haven't hatched, well, I'm sorry birds, but I think the war is lost. For both sides.
If the pigs are gonna eat those eggs, I don't think they would taste very good. 3 year old raw egg isn't very appetizing.
No eggs for you!
The only other explanation would be that all of the Angry Birds games take place in different dimensions where the same just coincidentally happens in each and with the same birds and pigs. But, you know, thats just speculation. What I think Rovio should do is take advantage of this and make the eggs hatch already at the end of Angry Birds Space. The things they could do with the concept of the Angry Birds having mini Angry Birds could go to great lengths. Imagine 2-player Angry Birds! One plays the adult birds and the other the kid birds. Or just make an AB Space 2 where the kid birds are grown up but have different powers.

Another option for Rovio could also be "Angry Birds: Wars". It would also be 2-player, only one would be the birds, and the other, the pigs. The player as the pigs would build the tower that protects the pigs (but limited items. Not 1000 stone or something.)

So what I'm saying here is that Rovio has options here; they don't have to make "Angry Birds Space Seasons" or something. If they're going to continue with the AB franchise (of which they obviously are), they have too add a new dynamic and physics to each new AB game. That meaning: make the next one an improvement like AB Space, not AB Seasons.

Who's that guy in the after-credits scene in The Avengers?

"Oreos FTW!!!" won the last poll "Which cookie is better?"

Finally! An Avengers post! And an Avengers poll vote! Now, I know this is a bit late, but I wanted to wait until most of you have seen The Avengers. If you haven't seen it yet, you should be well aware that this post
CONTAINS SPOILERS

Believe me I will add a bunch of spoilers.
So, after the credits of which happen after hulk wakes up Iron Man by yelling(told ya I'd spoil). Anyway, if you saw the after-credits scene, you know that there was some weird looking dude in the last shot. If you decided to leave before the scene, or didn't know about it, here it is (its the first scene, you can ignore the second.) Note: The video may not be there a few days after this is posted, and if so, you're gonna have to look around YouTube for the clip. I suggest you search "avengers adter credits" or "avengers thanos".

You know that weird faced dude at the end? Well...

'Sup Thanos.

Look familiar? I'm betting you remembered him because of the chin. Weeeelll, the thing with this baddie right here is that he is probably going after the infinity gauntlet. Guess where that doo-hickey is? On Asgard. Yep, Thor's home. So does that mean that our fellow avengers might take a trip to asgard? Iron Man in Asgard. Woah.

Now, if Thanos already has the infinity gauntlet when he reaches earth (just a theory), why does he attack it anyway? Well, this dude has a weird trait, which is that the dude is loyal to Death. Both the concept and the person, who came out in some early comics. I have no idea if the incarnation of Death will appear in the movie, although I doubt it. Anywhooses, the reason why he attacks Earth is because the dude says "To attack them (humans), is to court Death.". Then Thanos is like "Death?! Ok, I'm In. :3"

Thanos also looks like the main bad guy from Justice League, so now the Justice League movie (if it ever gets made) is gonna need a new bad guy, because people will be like "Hey! They copied off Avengers!"
